Turning adversity
into purpose.
Hal Hargrave Jr. speaks to corporate teams, schools, athletic programs, and faith communities about resilience, leadership, and giving everything you have — no matter what life narrows in front of you.
A 1–3% chance.
A lifetime of more.
ABOUT HAL
A 2007 car accident left Hal paralyzed from the neck down — doctors gave him a 1–3% chance of walking again. He decided early on the prognosis wouldn't be the story. He co-founded The Be Perfect Foundation and went on to build The Perfect Step from a converted racquetball court into a 20,000 sq ft neurological recovery center.
Off the keynote stage, he hosts a podcast, advocates on Capitol Hill, and spent years behind the mic as a sports broadcaster — a through-line of storytelling that still shapes the way he speaks today.
